Hi there,

Just come across your site when I was searching for other cricket blogs on Google. Your site is one I would definetly consider to having a high standard, I can say I would defiently be reading it from time to time!

I also have a cricket site of my own I would highly recommend you having a look at. It is called "Cricket, the Brilliant Game" and the web address for it is www.whoplayscricket.com. If you are also interested in doing a link exchange with me feel free to email your site's details to my email at whoplayscricket@gmail.com, and when you add my site please use the following details:

Site Name: Cricket, the Brilliant Game!

Web Address: www.whoplayscricket.com

Also email me when you have added me so I can add your site on mine promptly.

Cheers!

Rob

Thanks Andruid,
I did read that.
It is an honorable and a generous gesture.

I have two points to make,
1. Not all or perhaps any of the other players would have been so generous.
2. Without taking away anything from Chris Gayle's gesture, I am curious why he has to play a match such as this to get the money for his brother's treatment.
What if his team had lost? Would his brother suffered without treatment?
Also - these days leading players earn large sums of money. Are we to believe that Gayle, being a professional cricketer for so many years, didn't have the means to get medical treatment for his brother?

The main point I make is that if in future this is the form that cricket will take; played for money - "pure and simple" the game of cricket that I have known will surely be dead and gone.
