During my first year in high school someone in my year group decided to categorise all the lunchtime social groups and bestow each with a grading depending on perceived popularity and ‘coolness’.
As an Australian,
watching New Zealand lose to England
is like watching your E group little sister attempt to stand up for herself
against, well, someone who wishes they were in an A group.
In fact, theyâ?(tm)re hoping that by such feats of intimidation they will be elevated into A group status.
Your sister, sheâ?(tm)s doing her best, but sheâ?(tm)s drowning.
You cringe watching her, wanting to help, but her pride will only be dented if you comment.
Her comebacks are dreadful.
“Sticks and stones†and “Leave me alone†do little to help the situation
as the B group bitch tears shreds from her good character.
You hate the B group bitch.
You know sheâ?(tm)s worthless and only going back to her group of tarts to gloat.
And sure, maybe ripping someoneâ?(tm)s soul out and setting it on fire in front of the whole school
is some reason to gloat.
But sheâ?(tm)s not really as good as she thinks she is.
Thatâ?(tm)s why sheâ?(tm)ll always be hovering on the fringes, seeking acceptance and validation,
but always just mediocre.
That little kid deserves better.
She should win because sheâ?(tm)s brilliant,
and a better person than any of the B group bitches will ever be.
All you can do is hope that her comebacks get better and then one day she might even win.

Dear Miss Field:
I thought you might like to know that your ‘E group’ little sister bettered that ‘B group’ girl in a skirmish at class earlier today. That little smirk was wiped from her face. It is recognised that ‘E group’ girl had been subjected to provocation by ‘B group’ girl earlier on in the course, and had it coming (so to speak)…
Your younger sister’s skirt was torn, but she ‘put up one hell of a fight’: (she would have done you proud). ‘E group’ girl won this battle of attrition ‘fair and square’ according to Teacher Agnew as she separated the two girls, and who is known to prefer the ‘B group’ girl anyway. However, I think that the bullying may yet continue: this course has two more critical classes that must be attended.
Please be advised that ‘B group girl’ and her classmates will meet the the ProTeaze (rated B plus) Academy later on in the summer, and that ‘B group’ (and her friends) may well be re-graded according to their collective performances against this disciplined group of girls.
Again, please be encouraged that there are only two more classes before this punishing course is over. ‘E group’ girl has won the respect of many neutral observers who felt that she was particularly badly treated last Wednesday (18th June). However, as a mere teaching assistant I am not allowed to intervene personally in such matters (so of course you did not receive this letter).
My deepest respects and attention at all times.
Yours faithfully, (a teaching assistant)
good bitching …..he he he
She’s doing pretty well, isn’t she? Let’s hope soon she might transcend petty ratings and survive on her own.
Mind you, that B-grouper might just grow tougher claws until their next meeting.
