A captain who has lost the trust and confidence of his players, cannot continue as a captain anymore.

The issue here is why is he not “comfortable” with seniors.

Is it more than a coincidence that
his discomfort leads to two players being rested,
either of who should have been given the captaincy.

This topic is up for discussion in the forum.
It will be easier to explore the issues there.

I didnt mean it the way you seem to have taken it at all.
All i meant was, this post doesnt make a specific case. What part of DRavid’s performance are we talking about ? The fact that he dropped Ganguly ? thats not correct. Or its as crrect as the factthat he reinstated him. Is he a good captain ? I think ganguly was beter than dravid is now.

Is Dravid sinister ? I dont think so. Why are you saying that ?

All I’m asking for is perspectives to have discussions about ..

anything you wish in Dravid’s defense.
You have every right to express your opinion.

So do I.
I read,
I think
I corelate evidence
and I express my opinion.

But its unfair to stamp
other’s opinion as just “letting of steam”.

I am not letting of steam.
I am trying to get a meaning out of a strange selection.

Just a conspiracy theory?
It would be naive to believe
Dravid is incapable of conspiracies and politics.

Opinion was stronger against Ganguly.
Websites had been launch to express ‘hatred’.

A discussion will be easier on the forum.
Where everyone can join in and share their views.

I’m genuinely surprised by how strong opinion is against the guy. And I really want to launch a defence.

But this post seems more like letting off steam and putting up conspiracy theories than anything which I can argue.

Tell me where to start and lets have a discussion, Cos I am really keen. Either that or I’ll plonk a big post on Captain Courageous on my site !

I am sad to admit, it is true.

When senior players are unhappy with him,
and justifiably,
it is amazing that BCCI would still want to go with him.

I do not think there is anyone in the BCCI
who understands player psychology.
They have killed of team spirit.

On second thoughts, that might be intentional.
They just want slaves don’t they?
No unity amongst players,
no mutiny or rebellions,
just play when ordered.

Thing is, Dravid is going to be captain till the end of the England tour. So, unless his results are not up to BCCI expectations, there is no possibility of him being pushed before that.
And if the results are up to BCCI expectations, he will be retained skipper for a further period, much to the detriment of Indian cricket.
